The deal, in plain sentences.

1. Who we are

Fore Studio's apps are made and sold by Fore Studio, the trading name of Atta Ur Rehman Shah, sole trader. Buying one of our products, or using this site, means you accept these terms. Payments, receipts and tax are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, under Paddle's Buyer Terms; your contract of sale is with Paddle, and Paddle appears on your receipt and card statement.

2. What these terms cover

Every product Fore Studio sells: our Mac apps, on their own or together in a bundle, and whether you buy on this site or on an app's own website. Each product's page says what it costs, what is included, how many Macs it runs on and which macOS it needs; that is part of the deal. An app's own site may add terms that apply only to that app; where they differ from these, the app's terms win for that app.

3. The licence

Buying an app gets you a licence to use it on the number of Macs its page lists. After checkout you receive a licence key by email; paste it into the app to unlock it. You can move a key to a new Mac yourself.

A one-time purchase is a permanent licence: the app is yours to keep using, and unless its page says otherwise, every update is included. A subscription licence lasts as long as the subscription does.

The licence is yours; the software stays ours. You may not resell, redistribute or share licence keys, and you may not rebrand or rehost our apps as your own.

4. One-time purchases and subscriptions

Most of our apps are a one-time purchase: you pay once and nothing renews. Where a product is sold as a subscription, its page and the checkout show the price and how often it renews. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If a subscription's price changes, we tell you before it applies to you.

5. Price and payment

Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay; Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT due where you live at checkout. Prices change over time, and a change never applies to a purchase you have already made.

6. Refunds

14 days from your purchase, no reason needed, described in full in the refund policy.

7. Privacy

Our apps do their work on your Mac. This site uses Google Analytics to measure visits, which sets cookies; the privacy policy is the complete statement, and each app's site states what that app does with your data.

8. Acceptable use

Use our apps for anything lawful. Do not probe, patch or wrap them to bypass the licence. You are welcome to read, link to and quote this site; do not copy it wholesale, scrape it at a rate that degrades it for anyone else, or present it as your own.

9. What we promise, and what we do not

Our apps and this site are provided as they are. We work hard on them, but we do not warrant that they are free of defects or fit for a particular purpose, and nothing here is a binding promise about a feature, a price or a release date; an app still in development may ship different from how it is described. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of them. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes

If these terms change, the change is posted here with a new effective date. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you bought under keep governing that purchase.
