Privacy

This policy covers fore.studio, the website you are reading. Each of our products publishes its own policy on its own site, because what an app does with your data is a much bigger question than what a marketing page does with a page view.

What this site collects

Page views. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the pages you view, your browser and device, your rough location and how you reached the site, tied to a random identifier kept in a cookie. We do not send it your name or email address, and we do not use it for advertising. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy, and may process it outside your country.

There is no advertising pixel on this site. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN.

Our host records standard server logs, including IP address, the page requested, and the browser's user agent. These are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and they are not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, when a page loads. They tell one visitor from another and last up to two years. You can block them in your browser's settings or with Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works the same without them.

The checkout sets its own: when you open it on the store, Paddle's checkout loads and sets the cookies it needs to take a payment and prevent fraud, under Paddle's privacy policy. Nothing is set until you open it.

If you email us

When you write to hello@fore.studio we keep the message so we can answer it and refer back to it if you write again. We do not add you to a mailing list off the back of a support email. Ask us to delete the thread and we will.

Purchases

Our Mac apps are sold through Paddle.com acting as merchant of record, on their own sites and as a bundle on this one. Paddle collects the billing details needed to take payment and charge the right tax, and handles that data under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number. What we receive is the order record: your email address, the product, and the licence issued.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@fore.studio and we will answer within 30 days. For anything tied to a purchase, Paddle may need to keep a record of the transaction to meet tax law, and we cannot delete that on your behalf.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not make changes retroactive.
